The times as well as the spirits of children of BVM Global, Coimbatore, have hitherto been expectant and favourable to athletic events. Now, it is high time the tables have turned to get the kids off the ground with their ability to think and transform their thoughts into words. The Departments of English and Languages, after arduous yet ardent contemplation and groundwork, conducted a range of programmes for the students of class 1 to 12. The proposition of conducting the ‘Litfest’ was to unfurl students’ zeal for the languages such as Tamil, Hindi, Sanskrit, French and English. The events panned out on two days – preliminary rounds were held on the 2nd of November and the final round on the 5th. Here is a glimpse of the contests that ensued in English language. A Fashion Fiesta and ‘I Can’ Book for little kids of classes 1 to 3; Tell a Tale and Fiction Writing for classes 4 and 5; Twist a Fable and Haiku writing for classes 6 to 8; Turn a Coat and Punception for classes 9 and 11. Students who were selected for the final rounds were keenly assessed by gracious faculty of varying departments.
