Guest Lecture - Food processing and Pres

As a part of the Project Day activity, a guest lecture was conducted for the students of class 5 on 16th October at 2pm.The topic was Food processing and Preservation Dr. D. Sridevi, Head of the department of Food and Dietetics from Dr. NGP Arts and Science College gave a brief explanation about the topic .Students were taught about the layers of wheat, its types and how they are processed. The ill effects of junk food and the preservatives added in individual products were explained in detail. The procedure for jam making was taught to the students. The students clarified their doubts with the nutritionist and the session ended with a healthy song at 3pm. Students participated enthusiastically and the session was very interactive.
