26th January 2017
Blood Donation Camp was organized at BVM Global@Coimbatore in association with IMA and Rotary North, Coimbatore. This was the initiation by the Karuna Club of BVM Global@Coimbatore. Mr Sunil, IMA – PRO interacted with the teacher in charge and guided through the process.
A team comprising the doctor – Mr Jyothi Anand, 2 Lab Technicians, 3 Helpers and Mr Sunil himself had come down for the event. The programme was from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The entrants were registered; their blood group and hemoglobin count were checked to find out their eligibility to donate. They were subsequently checked by the doctor before they were declared fit or unfit for donation. Once the candidate was certified fit by the doctor, he/she was guided for the donation.
78 people volunteered to donate. 43 were endorsed fit to donate. Of these 22 (teachers(15), admin staff, driver annas(5) and substaff akka(1)) were from BVM Global@Coimbatore. A total of 50 prospective donors were expected and in this maiden venture it turned out close to the expected number.
