Annual Day

Ekamevadvitiyam

17th December 2016

‘Ekamevadvitiyam ‘ is a sanskrit term meaning there is only one and no alternative. It is usually used in the connotation that God is one though there are crores of consorts.  In BVM the concept of Ekamevadvitiyam was taken to denote that LOVE is the path to attain the goal be it success in examination, success in business, success in power or you name it anyway.  This year’s Annual day Ekamevadvitiyam revolved around the concept of oneness through LOVE. This was depicted in various forms of dance and drama. The dance and drama revolved around a religion and each religion ultimately carried the message of LOVE. There was drama in all the languages – English, Tamil, French, Hindi and Sanskrit. Varieties of dance forms also were showcased. There was also an exclusive orchestra conceptualized by students of Class X. There was a Carnatic Orchestra that was guided by the teacher.  Students of Class X also ventured into the arena of Mime to depict that Peace should prevail and war should be shooed away. The invocation dance was the result of research which carried the message of LOVE through the performance to music. Dr Hyacinth Pink, Chief Mentor, RVS Group of Institutions honoured the event through her presence as Chief Guest. Mr R Rajendran, Director of Education, BVM Group of Schools was the Guest of Honour.  This time the delivery of dialogues was pre-taped and students synchronized during their act with the recorded dialogues. It was a great learning to the teachers and the students. On the whole the Annual Day was an eventful one well appreciated by one and all for the theme and the depiction.
