Report on Celebration of National Science Day ( 2016-17)
On February 28th 2017 National Science Day was celebrated with immense passion and enthusiasm in order to commemorate the invention of the Raman Effect in India by the Indian physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. (On the same day in the year 1928.) Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman was awarded and honored with the Nobel Prize in Physics in the year 1930 for the same .
Theme for this year is
‘Science and Technology for Specially abled persons’
In order to bring awareness to students about the Indian scientist and science , Science department conducted varieties of programmes performed by students class wise which included
· Enacting as different scientists
· Mime on water conservation
· Use of mobile phone
· Science behind bicycling
· Science in farming
· Riddles, puzzles and facts.
Students were excited to see Tom and Jerry and Doremon to enthuse them.
