Pongal, the Harvest Festival of Tamilnadu was celebrated virtually at BVM Global, Coimbatore on the 13^th of January, 2021. The programme commenced with a prayer song followed by the cheerful speeches and beautiful dances of Grade IV students. The children spoke about the Four day Pongal celebration which comprise of Bhogi, Surya Pongal, Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal. They also spoke about the importance of Farming and the lives of famers as it is the biggest part of all their hard work. Since it is a Thanks giving occasion to nature, we celebrated the festival joyfully.  The Principal, Ms Syeda Sarfraz, Vice principal, Ms Srilatha, PET Coordinator, and all the teachers celebrated Pongal inside the school campus by cooking rice in a pot with a stove made of bricks. Teachers enthusiastically participated in the kummi dance and enjoyed the Festival.
